Dear CGP Families,
Welcome to what promises to be an exciting and purposeful 2025–2026 school year! As we begin this journey together, our focus remains clear: student learning and leadership.
At CGP, we are proud to be a Leader in Me school, where students grow academically and build strong character through the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People:
-
Be Proactive: You’re in charge.
-
Begin with the End in Mind: Have a plan.
-
Put First Things First: Work first, then play.
-
Think Win-Win: Everyone can win.
-
Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood: Listen before you talk.
-
Synergize: Together is better.
-
Sharpen the Saw: Balance feels best.
These habits are woven into our school culture and help every student develop essential life skills to succeed in school and beyond.
Our academic goal this year is that all students will improve their AASA scores by at least 15%. Achieving this would move us closer to becoming an “A” rated school. To support this goal, we are committed to standards-based instruction, skills-based interventions, and nurturing a positive learning environment for every child.
This will be my sixth year as principal of Carol G. Peck, and I’m more excited than ever to partner with you in making this our best year yet. Your role is vital! Please help by ensuring that your child is at school every day, on time, and ready to learn.
Let’s make 2025–2026 a year full of growth, achievement, and leadership. Together, we will ROAR!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Harris
