Creative Curriculum is a developmentally appropriate research-based early childhood curricula. It is used with our Head Start, AOK 3’s and 4’s (Pre-K) students. Creative Curriculum is scientifically valid research, has standardized training procedures, aligned to the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five, and has an organized developmental scope and sequence that include plans and materials for learning experiences based on developmental progressions and how children learn.

The core Reading/English Language Arts program for grades kindergarten through fifth is McGraw-Hill's Wonders. StudySync is a comprehensive English Language Arts core program connecting students directly to literature and technology.  Our sixth through eighth grade students will have access to a dynamic ELA curriculum, current event blasts, and an expansive digital library. This powerful literacy instruction program will inspire reading, writing, speaking & listening skills and critical thinking to prepare students for life, college, and career pathways to success.  

The Wilson Fundations and Just Words supplemental programs make learning to read fun while laying the groundwork for life-long literacy. Students in grades K-3 receive Fundations, a systematic multisensory program in critical foundational skills, emphasizing: phonemic awareness, phonics/word study, high frequency word study, reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension strategies, handwriting and spelling. Wilson Just Words is a highly explicit, multisensory decoding and spelling program for students in grades 4–8 who have mild to moderate gaps in their decoding and spelling proficiency but do not require intensive intervention. The instruction in both programs aligns with Arizona’s college and career-ready standards.

Imagine Language & Literacy is an adaptive learning solution that accelerates reading and language proficiency for students in grades PreK–8. Designed to supplement core literacy instruction, Imagine Language & Literacy provides instruction and practice in all four domains of literacy—reading, writing, listening, and speaking. 

Imagine Learning ignites engagement: high-interest texts, game-like activities, and fun instructional videos motivate today’s students.

MindPlay is a web-based reading program for students who need Tier 3 interventions. It delivers one-to-one, personalized, systematic, reading instruction. MindPlay features virtual reading teachers who will help students fill in the skill gaps that are preventing them from reading accurately and fluently.

   The Ready Classroom Mathematics program helps teachers in kindergarten through eighth grade create a rich classroom environment in which students at all levels become active, real-world problem solvers. Through teacher-led instruction, students develop mathematical reasoning, engage in discourse, and build strong mathematical habits. InspireScience, is our adopted core science program for grades kindergarten through eight. It is designed to prepare the next generation of innovators and inventors. Our students experience science through hands-on investigations, reading and referencing text, collaboration, and guided inquiry. Within the lessons, students engage in problem-solving, arguing, and discussion of scientific phenomena to make sense of the world from their perspective.

The program is organized around the 5E Instructional Framework and is designed to provide equitable science experiences for all learners through flexible approaches and research-based best practices.

Studies Weekly is a research-based, student-friendly kindergarten through fifth grade program organized thematically into the social studies strands of civics and government, geography, economics, and history. Each topic is introduced to students in a periodical format and enhanced with a robust online learning platform. The state standards aligned program is spiraled and scaffolded to meet the needs of all students with hands-on interactive lessons that also incorporate the Arizona College and Career Ready English Language Arts standards.

N2Y is a comprehensive special education curriculum for students with intellectual disabilities. Beyond the Unique core curriculum, which includes reading, writing, math, and science curriculum, additional components are News2You social students curriculum, L3Skills life skills curriculum, Positivity social emotional learning curriculum, and SymbolStix communication system.

The STAR Program (Strategies for Teaching based on Autism Research) teaches students with autism critical skills and uses many evidence-based practices. The ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) instructional methods of discrete trial training, pivotal response training, and teaching functional routines form the instructional base of this comprehensive program for students with autism.

AESD utilizes The Boys Town Education Model in special education classrooms for students with emotional disabilities. It is a class and school-based intervention strategy that focuses on managing behavior, building relationships, and teaching social skills. It emphasizes preventive and proactive practices rather than reactive responses to deal with student behavior. Based on the Boys Town Model, the Boys Town Education Model puts Boys Town’s research-proven child-care methods to work in a variety of educational settings.
