Lion Cubs Tutoring Program
Alhambra Elementary School District is proud of the partnership it has established with Alhambra High School, St. Mary’s Food Bank and STAND For Children, in providing tutoring opportunities to all students in grades Pre-K to 8th on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Alhambra High School in the cafeteria – 3839 W. Camelback Rd., Phoenix, 85019.
Alhambra High School tutors from its National Honor Society and AVID programs meet in the cafeteria twice a week to support elementary students with after-school tutoring. The tutors are excited to serve our community and eager to support our students in all subject areas, with a strong focus on mathematics and English language arts. Tutoring for the 2019-2020 school year begins on Monday, September 16, 2019 and continues through April 30, 2020.
Students accompanied by their parents are invited to come to Alhambra High School to receive this free after-school academic support. Parents MUST bring their children to the cafeteria to receive tutoring. Students will receive meals provided by St. Mary's Food Bank between 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
